**About the Role**:
This newly created role will see you drawing on your expertise gained across infrastructure construction delivery and commercial/pre-contracts/bid management background to provide independent review of tenders, other binding submissions, and post tender activities to verify key aspects of the submission are in accordance with tender assurance requirements, and to ensure pre-contracts governance in the tender and post-tender phase.

This role will require regular interstate travel, approximately 15-20 times per year, for 2-3 days at a time.

**What you will do;**:

- Provide independent verification and review of tender and post tender activities.
- Leverage industry experience to confirm that proposed methods are logical, justified and constructible.
- Review client tender documents and tender team deliverables such as design, constructability, and planning to ensure consistency and compliance with the client requirements and specifications.
- Track compliance with agreed governance process.
- Identify any additional or alternative verification/ governance needed
- Take the lead on ensuring all aspects of tender assurance (estimating, commercial, methods and technical, planning) are progressed and completed for each tender.
- Prepare all necessary documentation and tender assurance reports.
- Maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Track and keep informed on all tenders allocated through the tender and post tender periods.
- Leverage experience and knowledge to aid tender teams and communicate lessons learned/recent from previous tenders and projects.

**What we are looking for;**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Sciences, or Construction Management
- 18 years + experience in construction
- Management of multidisciplinary projects and project teams with mid-tier or top-tier contractors
- Understanding of contemporary practices in design and construction methodology
- Contractual, legal, commercial, industrial relations and legislative compliance management experience
- Advanced financial and commercial management including cost reduction and meeting budgets
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative commercial, safety, environment and quality risk assessment and development of risk controls
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management
- Experience in tendering large-scale projects ($300m+)
- Complex project management and project delivery
- Experience in reviewing tenders, independent project reviews and business cases
- Experience in various contract types such as Construct Only, Design & Construct, Managing Contract, Alliance, Joint Ventures, and PPP.
