We are seeking a suitably experienced and motivated Tender Manager to join our Sydney sales team based on-site in Huntingwood, on a full-time basis.
About the role
As Tender Manager - NSW & QLD, you'll lead the end-to-end tender process from identifying opportunities to winning contracts. Working closely with sales, engineering, operations, and governance teams, you'll deliver competitive, compliant, and high-quality submissions that highlight our company's technical strengths and commercial value.
Reporting to the QLD, NSW, ACT & PNG State Manager, key responsibilities include:
- Building and managing a pipeline of government and private sector tenders in NSW & QLD.
- Identifying and evaluating new opportunities through research and market insights.
- Leading tenders, EOIs, RFQs and proposals from strategy through to post-submission.
- Analysing technical requirements to shape winning strategies aligned with business strategy and customer needs.
- Driving revenue growth through tender wins, market expansion and sales leadership.
- Meeting/exceeding sales targets, delivering presentations, site meetings and negotiations.
- Ensuring submissions showcase our value proposition and meet governance, compliance, and risk requirements.
About the role
You are detail-oriented, quality-driven, and motivated by success. With strong knowledge of the electrical/manufacturing industries and proven tender management experience, you're ready to make an impact
What you'll bring:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the electrical field (sales, engineering, installations, or business development).
- Demonstrated success managing and winning complex tenders in sectors such as construction, energy, mining, infrastructure, manufacturing and industrial.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles with the ability to "speak the language" of our customers.
- Tertiary qualification in the electrical field (qualifications in business, finance, marketing highly regarded) and an understanding of the cable industry.
- Proven skills in project management, research, marketing and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong commercial acumen across compliance, cost structures, margins, and pricing models.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP, CRM, reporting systems and tendering platforms.
- Ability to meet deadlines, problem-solve, identify risks and deliver proactively.
