**Your Key Responsibilities:
Manage the Operational Policy Response team, including driving performance and adjusting priorities.
Oversee the provision of strategic policy advice on the impacts for CSQ arising from legislative and public policy reforms, including through the development of strategic partnerships within courts.
Oversee the coordination and provision of responses to complex and high-profile policy issues impacting courts, including preparing departmental and ministerial briefs and correspondence.
Oversee the preparation of complex government submissions to support the implementation of legislative and public policy reforms in CSQ, including the development of policy and funding options.
Participate in interdepartmental and interagency meetings as required.
Contribute to business planning and lead the delivery of actions that support the CSQ strategic direction.
Undertake other duties as required.
Technical skills, abilities and cultural capability:
Manages a team providing effective guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
Detailed knowledge of public policy processes.
Analyses draft legislation and policy to evaluate options, operational impacts and outcomes.
Responds to emergent issues through establishing and maintaining appropriate networks.
Collaborates and negotiates with stakeholders to develop policy and implementation options.
Performs well in a fast paced and high-pressure environment.
Writes and edits concise, accurate advice, submissions, and correspondence.
Contributes to workplace equity, diversity, respect and inclusion.
