**Accountabilities include**:

- Be adaptive to change, learn new skills and work within ambiguity and risk.
- Research and analyse information to identify improvements in business processes and policy. Analyses options to solve these problems and provide evidence-based recommendations that support TMR's vision and considers impacts on key stakeholders.
- Implement solutions, taking a consultative approach.
- Prepare a range of documents, including policies and procedures, in accordance with TMR's standards that reflect critical thinking, analysis, suit the audience and are fit for purpose.
- Work autonomously by taking responsibility for multiple tasks or delivering small projects of varying complexity and deliver agreed outcomes within planned timeframes and identify and overcome any barriers to delivering agreed outcomes.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships and effective networks with internal and external stakeholders to consult, negotiate and work collaboratively on IAP reforms and improving road safety.
- Provide professional and timely advice to management and stakeholders on policy and procedures for the relevant accreditation schemes.
- Provide professional and timely responses to telephone and written enquiries from the public and other stakeholders on policy and procedures.
- Provide specialist advice to the Principal Policy Advisor, Manager, Director and key stakeholders relating to legislation, policy and systems administered by IAP.
- Proactively engage in continuous development, take on feedback and show courage in taking on new or ambiguous tasks.
- Undertake the role in accordance with the requirements of s26(1) of the Public Service Act 2008 and at all times ensure that the principles as found in the Code of Conduct for the Queensland Public Service are upheld in the carrying out of all duties.

This role will enable you to hone a wide range of skills, including consultation, communication, relationship building, policy analysis and assisting with legislative reform. If you like putting ideas in to action, this could be the role for you.

This position reports to the Principal Policy Advisor, Operator Accreditation and Authorisation.
