**About the Role**:
The Workforce Policy and Integrity team of People Branch plays a key role in implementing strategies and actions to mitigate risk, contribute to the management of the department's governance framework, build a strong culture, support leadership, and sustain workplace integrity. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners the role ensures responsiveness to current and future needs

**Responsibilities include**:

- Leading and managing a diverse team to develop and maintain policy and delegation instruments across the department
- Developing business processes with a focus on stakeholder engagement, efficiency, coordination and collaboration
- Delivering high-quality, timely, accurate and balanced advice, often within a changing environment and competing priorities
- Identifying emergent issues that may impact upon the priorities of the Unit, Portfolio, Branch, Division and Department

**About You**:

- Demonstrated experience in providing advice, interpreting statutory instruments and developing policies and procedures
- The ability to identify and connect strategic priorities, legislative requirements and operational opportunities including innovative and best fit solutions that address workforce and workplace challenges.
- Manage competing priorities and requests for briefs, instruments, reports and plans including navigating briefing and approval processes in a large government agency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective interpersonal skills and high-level negotiation skills.
- Lead a team through a supportive leadership style that builds and maintains team capability in a complex and dynamic setting.

When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
