Our Federal Government Client is currently seeking an APS5 Project Officer on a full time temporary assignment for 12 months with the potential to extend.

**Your new role**

You will work standard business hours, from Monday to Friday, accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex work across the Provider and Markets Division. Legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents guide the position as it works to support Providers and steward the market.

Responsibilities will include:

- Managing project plans in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
- Coordinating project reporting including assessment of risks and issues, progress updates, and
tracking against project benefits.
- Scanning for and assessing changes to strategic or operational outcomes for the Agency and
possible impacts to the work area.
- Performing independent research and analysis work.
- Preparing written material including business cases, plans and briefs.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To succeed, you will need:

- Highly developed IT proficiency in MS Office, Word and Excel
- Experience in project management or as a project officer
- Experience in research and/or analysis
- Relevant education / qualifications in project management, policy/strategy, or law
- Exceptional communicational skills, both written and verbal
