**About the Department**
The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) was formed in 2019 with the merger of two former departments Family and Community Services (FACS) and Justice.

**About the Opportunity/Role**
The primary purpose of the role is to translate documentation into and from the relevant community language to ensure that members of the relevant ethnic community have equal access to government and non-government services.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Demonstrate a high level of commitment to customer service and client satisfaction, provide efficient and accurate translation services to Multicultural NSW customers
- Translate in the relevant community language on legal, government and non-government assignments
- Ensure high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work performed in line with certification.
- Work on key initiatives, projects collaboratively as required in the Language Services division and across Key Stakeholders in the Organisation.
- Keeping up to date with constant changes in the industry to ensure compliance with standards.
**Essential Requirements**
- NAATI certification
- Have a commitment to and/or demonstrate continuing professional development and training
- Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or Temporary resident with a valid working visa.
- Have a current Working with Children Check for paid work (WWCC).
- This recruitment will also create a talent pool to fill future ongoing and temporary full-time vacancies (over the next 18 months) if and when they arise in accordance with the Government Sector Employment Act 2013._
