POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Business Systems Lead to be the incumbent expert in leveraging key operational applications which enable our workforce to be accurate, efficient and compliant.
Reporting to the General Manager Service Delivery, the Business Systems Lead will play a hands-on role throughout the implementation of a new enterprise software platform, providing operational subject matter expertise, business readiness support, training, and hyper care for the new platform.
Post-implementation, this role will serve to enable best practice and continuous improvement of all operational applications in use by the front line teams and act as the primary liaison between the business of both internal IT and external SaaS vendors. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, prioritising, and translating evolving business requirements into platform configurations and enhancement requests that drive ongoing operational efficiency and service excellence.
They will be the subject matter expert in how to use the system and will continue to drive improvements and innovation by understanding configuration choices, integration opportunities, data dashboard and reporting requirements plus front end user workflow requirements.
The Business Systems Lead will ensure that new capabilities and point release upgrades in functionality are effectively implemented and embedded within business operations to continually improve system performance and user experience.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Act as the process owner for the newly implemented software platform, ensuring it meets business needs throughout the project and beyond.
• Collaborate with project teams during implementation to support system configuration, testing, training, and hyper care support activities.
• Deliver structured training and onboarding for end users, tailored to business unit needs.
• Provide high-touch support during go-live and early adoption phases to ensure smooth uptake and issue resolution.
• Engage with business stakeholders to capture feedback and prioritise enhancementspost go-live.
• Translate business processes and requirements into functional specifications forconfiguration or development by internal IT and external vendors.
• Maintain a product backlog and participate in regular prioritisation and planning cycleswith relevant technical teams.
• Continuously review and refine processes, driving system optimisation and business value.
• Support change management and communication efforts across operational teams.
• Implement change into the platform, and lead business ownership of the change intowider projects or programs of work.
• Ensure strong documentation of processes, user guides, change requests, and governance records.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
• 7+ years' experience in Business Systems ownership, operations systems support, or similar roles.
• Experience in home care, healthcare, aged care, or disability sectors is essential.
• Strong understanding of SaaS platform implementation and lifecycle, including configuration and vendor engagement.
• Experience supporting users through digital transformation or major platform adoption.
• Ability to translate operational needs into system requirements and enhancement requests.
• Strong documentation and communication skills, with an ability to engage users at all levels.
• Ability to model and refine processes.
• Demonstrated skills in stakeholder engagement, change management, and cross functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with case management or client management systems (e.g., Sygnal, Salesforce, Shiftcare, Nightingale) is a plus.
