**TEAM LEADER PAYROLL OPERATIONS**
**Location: Parramatta**
**Employment type: Ongoing full-time role**
**Salary: $**110,266.00 pa - $122,058.00 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading**
**Your role**
Shared Services & Customer Experience manages the payroll for Communities and Justice employees and Ministerial appointees. Our payroll services include superannuation, deductions, allowances and garnishee administration, employee data management, leave and flex sheet administration, payment of payroll and Pay as you Go (PAYG) tax, payroll reporting and administration.
In the Team Leader role you will lead and develop a payroll delivery team to ensure commitment to customer focus, service delivery, process integrity and accountability. Deliver timely and accurate services within service level agreements to Clients. Lead process knowledge documentation, performance and continuous improvement. Recruit and manage staff including performance management and development. The role will also be responsible in promoting the use of technologies and enhancement to systems and processes as well as deliver results in a high volume work environment.
**What you’ll do**
- The Team Lead will oversee the day-to-day operations of the payroll teams by effectively managing ticket and workflow allocations, ensuring that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently achieved. They will proactively monitor performance reports to identify opportunities for service enhancements and implement corrective actions as needed.
- The role requires ensuring that standardized and streamlined processes are consistently followed across teams, promoting cross-team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a customer-centric approach to service delivery.
- The Team Lead will also ensure full compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and awards, providing clear, accurate, and consistent advice to customers. Additionally, they will play an active role in driving continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function to optimize performance and service quality.
**Essential requirements for the role**
Proven experience in leading a payroll shared services team within a complex, dynamic environment. Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve intricate payroll transactional issues, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards governing payroll processes.
**What we’re looking for**
- Demonstrated experience supervising a large team in a shared service payroll environment delivering services to large and diverse organisation.
- Strong leadership and people skills (5 years’ experience) and ability to manage both internal and external customers
- Be able to focus on the team as well as customers equally
- Identify and prioritise workload
- Respond to client queries with confidence
- Strong payroll experience desirable - 4 to 5 years
- Extremely comfortable with using multiple systems
