As a valued member of our Retail Sales team, the
**Channel Sales Consultant** is responsible for responding to a high volume of broker quote requests for large business customer retail electricity deals. Based in
**Brisbane**, this role supports the National Channel Manager and other Channel Sales Consultants, specifically in assisting with all aspects of processing and responding to broker quote requests.
Externally you will be dealing with brokers and consultants regarding tenders, price requests and contract completion. Internally you will be liaising with a number of operational areas of the Retail team, principally other Retail Sales team colleagues and the pricing, credit and operations teams.
With respect, integrity and honesty, you will:
- Manage and respond to tender requests received from brokers and consultants;
- Enter broker price requests and customer information within our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system;
- Check and issue Retail Electricity offers;
- Seek price-feedback and pro-actively pursue opportunities to win deals with brokers;
- Prepare and manage contracts/agreements to completion;
- Foster strong relationships with Shell Energy’s brokers/channel partners;
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high service levels and response rates;
- Monitor and direct broker requests and queries from our tenders inbox; and
- General sales administrative duties including performing customer credit checks.

- Tenacity and perseverance - demonstrated eagerness to follow up on opportunities and not get discouraged by ‘losses’;
- Ability to generate timely and accurate retail electricity quotes; and
- Proficient in Excel.
