The Drafting Manager reports to the Operations Manager and is part of the Wilson Homes leadership team. In this highly rewarding role, your focus will be to ensure all drafting related business objectives are met in accordance with building regulations, Australian Standards and all relevant council planning schemes within the agreed timeframes. More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

- Manage the production drafting workflow on a daily basis to ensure the team are working on relevant priorities in line with business objectives and agreed time frames
- Ensure preliminary plans and building approval plans are completed prior to appointment booking date
- Conduct thorough quality assurance check of working drawings and external engineering design and produce Form 35 sign off as Responsible Building Designer.
- Provide advice and guidance related to floor plan design, Codes and planning schemes
- Schedule team meetings, one to ones and cross functional team meetings to ensure clarity and positive outcomes for all parties
- Provide ongoing technical ArchiCad training and development as well as site related training for the team
- Manage expectations of all internal and external stakeholders including Council, Engineers, Building Surveyors
- Continually look for ways to improve and streamline drafting processes, quality, expertise and internal customer service
- Work collaboratively with Construction team to provide technical support around construction detail outlined on working drawings and provide feedback

To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the purpose and core values of Arden Homes and NEX Group along with:

- A Building Trade Certificate or tertiary education in Construction Management
- Experience within the Residential Project Home Industry
- Strong communication skills and composure with the ability to build solid long-term relationships with trades and vendors
- Proven scheduling skills and the ability to coordinate multiple service providers and suppliers to complete homes expediently
- Considerable knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, materials and work standards related to the building of residential homes
- The ability to identify defects or problems proactively and take the necessary actions to rectify or prevent problems
- Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for working in a fast paced environment
