**Title: Payroll Manager - APAC**
**About the team and role**:
This role provides leadership and oversight for the Payroll team that supports the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, currently two Payroll Analysts/Leads. The role manages the implementation and operational workflow of administrative procedures as related to pay, tax, and time and evaluates pay practices to ensure they are accurate and comply with internal policies and practices and regional laws.
**What will you do?**
- Manage and support the Payroll team ensuring compliance, productivity, confidentiality, and efficiency
- Develop system improvements or process improvement opportunities as we expand into new APAC countries
- Accountable for the entire payroll process from start to finish. Responsible for timely and accurate processing, delivery and reconciliation of payroll. Directs and oversees the team’s production of regular and special payroll runs
- Oversee pre and post payroll auditing procedures and troubleshoots issues and implements corrective actions that eliminate the root cause of issues
- Ensure compliance with all relevant reporting standards including tax filings and interfaces
- Build relationships and collaborate with customers and HR partners, and facilitate a customer-centered approach to resolve issues, determine service level agreements, and drive processes
- Create, review, and maintain reliability and validity of department SOPs/manuals for payroll system and all payroll related procedures, policies, records, processes, protocols, and standard business practices to ensure consistency in operations and maintain workflows across teams
- Evaluate pay practices to ensure compliance with country specific laws
- Consult with partnering teams to recommend, implement process changes as needed
- Oversee tax and regulatory reporting and year-end payroll activities
- Assist in the resolution of complex and escalated payroll issues and situations; may work with leadership to make final determination on these issues
- Establish and maintains internal controls and participates in periodic control audits by internal and external partners
- Lead and mentor a team of payroll analysts - coach, teach, guide, motivate and inspire the team, set goals, assign projects, and ensuring deadlines are met
- Perform other duties as assigned
**What You'll Bring**
- Schooling specializing in HR, Business or related field, OR equivalent work experience in human resources/payroll within a business environment in the APAC region
- A self-started with people management experience including coaching and developing payroll skills, along with prioritizing day-to-day work
- Ability to work effectively across all levels and layers of the organization using exceptional communications skills and ability to influence and to adapt to changing business needs
- ADP Celergo payroll experience a plus
- Workday payroll experience preferred
