Payroll Team Leader – Melbourne

An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced
Payroll Team Leader
to join a well-regarded organisation undergoing a major transformation based in Melbourne.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading high-performing teams, and is passionate about driving payroll excellence.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead accurate end-to-end processing of weekly and monthly pay runs
  • Support and guide the payroll team alongside the Payroll Manager
  • Be the go-to escalation point for complex queries
  • Review and approve terminations, back-pays, LSL, and overpayment calculations
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, EBAs, and awards
  • Maintain payroll records, timekeeping, leave tracking, and compliance reporting

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience leading or supervising a payroll team
  • Solid month-end and year-end processing experience
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, EBAs, and award interpretation

Salary $130K + Super
