**Your Role**
The Sales Development Representative will respond, nurture and qualify incoming sales leads and marketing leads with the aim of securing face-to-face meetings and qualified opportunities for the sales team. In Brennan IT, we refer to this role as Outbound Customer Engagement Representative (CER) and the successful applicant will be working from our Melbourne office.

This will be achieved via research, discovery, nurture and qualification of prospective leads/contacts converting through a well-defined outbound prospecting process. Whilst this role is heavily weighted towards Outbound sales prospecting activity - you may also be involved in qualification and nurture of Inbound Sales.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Through a mix of your own primary research and support from a team of Data Analysts, you will be provided a dedicated territory and will be identifying prospective customer organisations and individuals that fit a defined Ideal Client Profile, Campaign profile or target Industry.
- Contact businesses and private individuals by telephone to promote products and services
- Explain the product or service to potential customers
- Deliver/adjust scripted sales pitch to customers
- Handle customer questions
- Obtain customer information including names and addresses
- Record customer details including reaction to the product or service offered
- Schedule appointments for sales staff to meet prospective customers
- Capture call details and appointments in CRM, and confirm them with field sales representatives
- Answer telephone calls from potential customers who are responding to marketing campaigns - inbound sales calls
- Contact customers to follow-up on initial interaction
- Work with the marketing team to develop always-on nurture stream content to send to identified target organisations.

- Prospects who have met the required threshold via lead scoring

**What experience you will bring to the team**:

- Minimum of 3 years in similar SDR, sales or customer support experience (ICT experience preferred)
- A successful track record of prospecting
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and maintain phone-based relationships
- Passion for customer service
- Demonstrated skills in organisation and time management
- Self-sufficiency and a high degree of autonomy.

**Desirable**:

- Industry-based technical sales certifications (eg Microsoft, Citrix, VMWare, EMC, Cisco, HP)
