The Talent Attraction and Sourcing team in the People and Organisation Strategy Branch (POSB) works with stakeholders to provide end-to-end recruitment attraction, sourcing, selection and retention strategies to meet their business needs and help build and sustain a diverse, adaptable workforce. POSB is looking for innovative and forward-thinking professionals who can help us modernise and transform the way we work to support the delivery of strategic and operational recruitment functions.

We are looking for motivated individuals who are energised by working with people, processes and client services. As a Recruitment and Talent Officer, you will assist with day-to-day recruitment and talent services and provide advice and guidance to managers and staff on merit-based recruitment attraction, selection and onboarding processes.

**Recruitment and Talent Officers - APS 4**

Key responsibilities will include:

- providing accurate customer focused recruitment advice, both verbally and in writing
- contributing to continuous development, including contributing to the design and implementation of the Recruitment strategy, procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and APS policy and practices
- preparing job advertisements and letters of offers
- actioning commencement paperwork
- contributing to recruitment strategies, policies and continuous improvement of processes, systems and procedures.

**Recruitment and Talent Officers - APS 5**

In addition to the above, key responsibilities for the APS 5 officer will include:

- duties that are moderate to complex in nature and operate with competing priorities
- assisting to manage the day-to-day operations of the Recruitment and Secondment Team, including supporting managers and team members
facilitation of recruitment consultations to business areas informing them of best practice and
- managing recruitment processes in PageUp, the department’s online recruitment system.

**Recruitment and Talent Officers - APS 6**

Key responsibilities will include:

- assisting to triage and allocate work to team members on the day to day operations of the Recruitment and Secondment Team
review and quality assurance checking and provision of full recruitment services, including advice to managers and staff on recruitment issues, press and gazette advertising and vetting selection reports
- contributing to continuous development, including contributing to the design and implementation of the Recruitment strategy, procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and APS policy and practices
- building strong and effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to provide customer service and assist in managing more complex queries
- ability to interpret HR-related issues, legislation and the Australian Public Service (APS) employment frameworks
- ability to manage competing priorities in a proactive way and under limited direction.

**Desirable Qualifications / Experience**
To be suitable for these positions you will:

- have knowledge of, or experience in, human resource management functions in particular recruitment
- be flexible and have energy and determination to succeed in a fast paced, high volume work area
- possess strong team and customer service skills
- experience in Page Up or similar recruitment system is highly desirable and
- be highly organised and have strong attention to detail.
