- Extensive capacity to proactively communicate and visibly engage with the entire school community in authentic ways that are culturally sensitive and innovative with a strong commitment to maintaining valuable partnerships with parents and the wider community.
- Demonstrated capacity to inspire, work side by side with the school community and model highly effective educational practices and continuous improvement in the current and future climate of educational change.
- Proven ability to lead Aboriginal Education across the school and the wider community and ensure Aboriginal Histories and Cultures are authentically embedded by staff across all teaching and learning programs.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide inclusive leadership in a small school setting with experience in maximising the available resources to enhance teaching and learning and student and staff wellbeing across multi-stage classes.
- Proven ability to be an open, approachable, and visible leader with outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to promoting the school profile and enhancing partnerships with parents and the wider educational community.

- High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
- Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
- High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
- Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
- Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
- Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
