
Payroll Officer

**The Role**
We are currently implementing a new payroll system and require a Payroll Officer to join our high performing Finance team for a period of 18 months where a future permanent opportunity may eventuate. You will be part of the Payroll team who are responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of our weekly payroll for all Sanitarium employees across Australia and New Zealand.
- Processing the end-to-end weekly payroll cycles
- Setting up new starters, maintaining accurate employee records and terminations
- Assist in the processing of superannuation and payroll tax
- Assist in the reporting and month-end duties for payroll including reconciling payroll related general ledger accounts
- Maintaining deductions and allowances including salary packaging
- Responding to employee enquiries
- Liaising with site payroll personnel
**Skills & Experience**
- Payroll experience preferred
- Attention to detail
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills - the ability to plan and prioritise
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to work independently
- Strong customer service ethos
- CHRIS21, Kronos and SAP experience are all highly regarded
- Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality
