Oaks Melbourne on Market Street is seeking a Duty Manager to oversee daily service delivery and guest satisfaction while supporting the Hotel Manager in Body Corporate interactions and financial functions. This role ensures smooth operations across the hotel, maintaining high standards and delivering exceptional experiences.

The Duty Manager is also responsible for leading the housekeeping department, ensuring cleanliness, efficiency, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Key responsibilities include managing staff schedules, training, performance, budgets, and supplies to uphold the department’s excellence.

**Key Responsibilities Include**:

- Ensure that guest service is a priority and monitor the delivery of quality guest service by staff.
- Lead by example and support staff in delivering outstanding guest service.
- Maintain a high level of local product and service knowledge to answer guest queries and effectively sell the property.
- Handle complaints in a timely manner - contact the guest as soon as the complaint is received & attempt to resolve.
- Complete Trip Advisor feedback (as directed) via Revinate and Minor Hotels Customer Service Feedback within 24 hours of receipt of the complaint or compliment.
- Effectively recruit staff in conjunction with the Hotel Manager.
- Controlling and purchasing within budget, all operating supplies, replacements, consumables and maintaining par levels including processing and coordinating payments/accounts for such purchases.
- Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is evident throughout the property in housekeeping (in rooms, public and common areas).
- Oversee the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department in your allocated property

Annual salary range: $72,000 - $76,000 (excluding superannuation)

Expected hours: 38 per week

Location: 60 Market Street, Melbourne VIC 3000
**Qualifications** To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Proven experience in leading and managing large teams within a hotel environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing property budgets and achieving financial objectives.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities, with a strong focus on developing and motivating diverse teams.
- Outstanding customer service skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders and guests.
- Strong ability to work towards and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
