Summary

**About the Role**

To be the first point of contact for internal and external guests, whilst supporting the Rooms Division Manager daily. To oversee the Front Office operations and provide support as required.

**Your Core Purpose will be**:
Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, the Duty Manager functions as the first point of contact for all internal and external guests, while supporting the daily hotel operations.

Duties include:

- Lead the Guest Service Officers to deliver an incomparable service experience
- Responsible for short and long term planning and the management of the hotel’s Front Office operations
- Maintain guest room inventory
- Coach and train employees to reflect Hyatt Place Service Standards and Procedures
- Perform all tasks of a Front Office Staff as needed to facilitate service
- Ensure all operations and cash handling are done per policies and procedures
- Maintain information on prices, rates, specials, packages, programs, etc, while ensuring all staff are trained in all areas
- Analyse, investigate, and resolve guest complaints
- Insures proper staffing levels for customer service goals.
- Manage hotel operations in the absence of senior leadership team
- To be fully conversant with emergency procedures and local legislation

**Qualifications**:
**What we are looking for**:

- Relevant degree in Hospitality is an advantage
- Previous experience as Duty Manager or Team Leader in Front Office
- Previous experience using OPERA PMS is essential
- Knowledge of Outlook and Word
- Demonstrated leadership skills through the ability to train, motivate and develop your Front Office team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management with the ability to juggle multiple demands
- Adaptable and able to solve problems quickly
- Demonstrated ability to provide and improve customer service with both internal and external customers.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and the ability to work a flexible 24/7 day roster
