An exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join a WA State Government department.
**Your new company**
We have partnered with a government department client to assist in their search for a Payroll Officer. Reporting to the HR manager, the role will focus on general payroll activities, leave audit support and maintenance of data.
The role is based in Perth CBD and is a 3-month temporary assignment with the possibility to extend. Ideally, you will be immediately available and ready to start as soon as possible.
**Your new role**
As a Payroll Officer, you will be assisting with general payroll activities and your responsibilities will include:
- Fortnightly processing of payroll
- Leave audits
- Terminations, transfers, occupancy changes
- Calculate allowances
- Admin duties such as maintaining up-to-date records
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
**What you'll need to succeed**
Previous experience as a payroll officer is essential, as is:
- Ascender system experience (is preferred)
- Good communication
- Analytical thinking
- Great attitude towards work
