**Who are we looking for?**

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a School Administration Officer to join Faculty Operations, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice, Academic Division.

The School Administration Officer provides high quality administrative assistance across a broad range of duties that supports the academic work of the Schools in the Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice. The role supports two Schools, and works collaboratively with professional and academic staff to deliver to a range of academic support activities within and across Schools.

We pursue research with impact, and our researchers collaborate on projects in specialised research groups and facilities across disciplines and institutions.
The Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice is led by the Executive Dean and the Faculty Executive team comprising the Executive Dean, Deputy Dean, Heads of School, Associate Dean Learning and Teaching, Associate Dean Research, and Faculty Operations Manager.
The faculty is comprised of the following Schools under the leadership of the respective Head of School:

- School of Communication
- School of Creative Practice
- School of Design
- School of Early Childhood and Inclusive Education
- School of Teacher Education and Leadership
- School of Justice

In addition, specialist Faculty professional functions include
- Faculty Operations: Budget and Planning, School Administration Support, Space, Equipment and Assets, and Technical Services teams under the leadership of the Faculty Operations Manager
- Office of the Deputy Dean: Engagement, and Student Specialist Support under the leadership of the Deputy Dean
- Office of the Executive Dean under the leadership of the Executive Dean.

**What you need to succeed**

To thrive in this role, you will be someone who enjoys taking the initiative to provide excellent service and support across a broad range of activities each day.

You will demonstrate:
1. Education, training or relevant experience equivalent to completion of an associate diploma with at least two (2) years’ subsequent relevant experience in an administrative position, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education training.
2. High level interpersonal skills with the ability to provide professional administrative support with proven ability to collaborate and communicate with a range of people at all levels both within QUT and external to QUT.
3. Demonstrated digital literacy skills including ability to effectively work with Microsoft suite of products as well as corporate systems and other information sources to extract and interpret data.
4. Demonstrated ability to use initiative to solve problems, manage priorities to meet deadlines, and work productively without close supervision to support a wide range of stakeholders.
