Training Manager

Our Technical, Advisory, and Capability (TAC) practice and Team Downer (the prime Major Service Provider (MSP)) deliver above-the-line consulting services and Integrated Work Packages across the Department of Defence, leveraging innovative approaches such as mission and digital engineering to enable the successful delivery of critical Defence programs. This includes engagement with key areas across Defence including Defence Digital Group (DDG), Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), and the Navy, Army, and Air Force.

The Training Manager will be required to perform and/or have responsibility for duties including, but not limited to:

- Implement the Training Concept and Training Strategy
- Lead the analysis, design, development and implementation of the Sustainment Training package.
- Engage with Navy stakeholders to determine Navy’s requirements for MINERVA sustainment training, including the: Analysis of user requirements and identification of training gap/need, design and development of training materials, Integration of previous lessons learnt and continual improvement of the training package.
- Oversee the delivery of the MINERVA Administrator Course.
- Provide advice and guidance to the Delivery and Project Manager.

Required Skills and Experience:

- Essential - Learning and Development experience in the Defence environment.
- Essential - Extensive experience with Defence’s Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL).
- Extensive experience in: Organisational Development, Job Training, Needs and Performance Analysis, Instructional Design, Program and Training Evaluation, Training Development and Delivery and Facilitation.
- Coupled with Relevant tertiary qualifications i.e. Bachelor / Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.

Additionally, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be necessary.
