**The Opportunity**:
The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a Parliamentary Service Level 6 Manager Training Delivery within Security Operations Branch. As the manager, you will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of high quality, operationally aligned training programs across the Parliamentary Security Service (PSS), to uplift and support operational readiness and workforce capability.

You will lead a team of skilled trainers, providing clear direction, coaching and support to ensure high standards of delivery across all programs. This includes managing performance, building capability within the team and creating a positive and accountable team culture. The role requires a proactive leadership approach to ensure consistency in delivery, responsiveness to operational needs and alignment with organisational values.

This is a leadership role with a strong operational focus, suited to someone who thrives under limited direction, who demonstrates sound judgement and brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to learning delivery and workforce development. Working closely with operational leaders, internal and external stakeholders and the Training Development team, you will ensure that delivery aligns with organisational goals and adult learning principles. You’ll contribute to continuous improvement by adapting delivery strategies, reviewing feedback and supporting the ongoing development of PSS staff.

Success in this role requires a positive attitude toward change and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment. High-level organisational and time management skills are essential to manage competing priorities and meet operational deadlines. The role demands a proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to represent the training function at a strategic level.

- Have demonstrated experience leading training delivery in a high-paced, operational environment
- Have experience in leading a team, providing clear direction, coaching and providing support to ensure high standards of delivery, including managing performance, building capability and creating a positive team culture
- Be responsible for maintaining training standards, ensuring consistency in delivery and capability development
- Have high-level time management, organisational and problem-solving capabilities
- Demonstrate sound judgement and the ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Have well-developed written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing reports, internal reviews and business case proposals
- Have a positive attitude toward change and the ability to lead others through shifting priorities
- Confidently engage with internal and external stakeholders and represent the branch in a professional manner

**Job Specific Requirements**
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (Confidential/Highly Protected/Secret) security clearance.
- TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development

Under limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the Parliamentary Service Level 6 classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Lead and manage a team to deliver high-level operational training to a large security workforce.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals.
- Oversee training delivery; provide mentoring and feedback to other training staff. Contributing to a highly professional, customer focused security culture.
- Undertake staff management responsibilities as required whilst you deliver training and conduct assessments.
- Model and promote a healthy and safe working environment, incorporating ethical behaviour and practices consistent with the DPS Code of Conduct and DPS Values.
- Capture and report on training statistics and processes, as require
- Employees of DPS are required to be able, and to be seen to be able, to provide professional advice and services to all Senators and Members without favour or prejudice._
