Immediate start for a WHS Advisor
Your new role

You will be working as the health and safety, wellbeing, and operational services on a range of corporate WHS and wellbeing activities, including maintaining WHS policies and procedures, administering the management of hazards and incidents and coordinating the annual wellbeing program.
- Provide advice, train, educate and engage with stakeholders on WHS and wellbeing, including attending Health, Safety and Environment Committee meetings.
- Manage the WHS representatives, including Fire Wardens and First Aid Officers.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and report on WHS and wellbeing activities.
- Comply with business policies and processes including financial, communication, information, records management, and human resource practices; the Australian Public Service Values and Code of Conduct; and requests and directions from the Head of Division and Chief Executive Officer.
- Undertake other duties as directed.

What you'll need to succeed

You’ll have demonstrated knowledge of relevant WHS legislation, guidelines, and risk management principles. You’ll also have demonstrated experience in delivering WHS and wellbeing services, including the development and implementation of WHS policies and procedures. You must have well developed research, analytical and problem-solving skills. You’ll well developed written and oral communication skills and negotiation skills, including ability to work constructively with a range of stakeholders. You’ll have organisational and administrative skills including strong attention to detail, ability to prioritise and control own workload, ability to suggest improvements to work processes and tasks to improve efficiencies and work health and safety services.
