Applications are now open for the position of Senior Advisor Work, Health & Safety.Why This Role MattersThis role plays a critical part in shaping the final chapter of the Nova story.
Our Nova underground operation is due to cease production in late 2026 and will be followed by approximately 2-3 years of closure activities.
This is a rare opportunity to be part of a high-performing, motivated team as they responsibly and safely bring this world class mine to a close.Key Responsibilities:Champion a positive safety culture by leading health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives;Provide expert WHS technical support across the Nova operation;Educate teams on WHS legislation and hazard identification to drive continuous improvement;Support the development and enhancement of workplace health and safety management systems;Lead and review corrective actions to ensure effective resolution and continuous learning;Assist in the implementation and monitoring of critical safety controls;Lead incident investigations, promoting learnings and building organisational resilience; andMaintain accurate systems and data to monitor and report on safety performance.Your ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have a passion for driving a positive safety culture and bring the following:Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety (minimum);Experience in heavy industry, ideally an underground mining environment;Strong technical knowledge of contemporary WHS practices;Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship building skills;Proficiency in MS Office and strong analytical/report writing capabilities;Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment;Valid 'C' class manual driver's licence; andNational Police Clearance (issued within the last 2 months).
