**Purpose of this role**

Working with the Procurement Manager, the purpose of the role is to maximise the company purchasing performance whilst controlling inventory levels, maintaining customer service excellence and enhancing safety and business profitability.

Based in Sydney.

Key tasks & responsibilities
- Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets for all Leviat businesses in the region.
- Run MRP, identify system requirements and create purchase orders to ensure production doesn’t run out of key materials and customer service levels are not compromised by supply issues.
- Work closely with others in procurement functions and review opportunities for continuous and business improvements.
- Maintain the supplier database and ensure cost data on systems is accurate.
- Ensure that customer services levels are maintained at minimum cost and cash impact.
- Liaise with internal customers to provide costs and lead times etc for project work.
- Co-ordinate materials across sites so avoid double stocking and adverse purchasing variations.
- Manage number of suppliers to maximise benefit.
- Ensure that computer systems provide maximum benefit and efficiency.
- Involvement in a stock optimisation, cost reduction and cost saving/recording projects.
- Involvement in any ERP system changes.
