Domestic Relocation included for those residing outside of Whyalla, which includes:
- Uplift of goods and relocation allowance (for individuals and immediate family)
- Travel and temporary accommodation (up to 4 weeks)
- DIDO Option Available (for Port Augusta, Quorn or Cowell residents)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage contracts related to mining and associated services using procurement processes.
- Lead rate, pricing, quotation, and payment term negotiations.
- Develop and implement category management and sourcing plans aligned with business needs.
- Conduct spend analysis and establish/maintain outline agreements in SAP.
- Collaborate with Buyers and fellow Category Managers to optimise procurement outcomes.
- Oversee contract performance, compliance, and dispute resolution, ensuring value delivery (e.g. benchmarking).
- Provide procurement advice and support to operational and management stakeholders.
- Maintain strong supplier and contractor relationships to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
About You:
- Commitment to safety, governance, and continuous improvement.
- 3–5 years’ procurement experience, ideally in the mining or manufacturing industry.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and contract management experience.
- Proficiency in SAP (particularly spend analysis, outline agreements, and payment terms) and Microsoft Office.
- Training or qualifications in CIPS preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Experience or knowledge of crushing and screening contacts desirable.
Desirable Skills:
- Mining procurement or services category management experience.
- Knowledge of national and international services markets and key cost drivers.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and influence cross-functional teams.
- Current driver’s licence and ability to travel as required.
