The primary role of the Facilities Management function is to efficiently and reliably manage the operation of ResMed’s facilities while seeking to minimize operational and life cycle costs.

Our fun and dynamic FM team provides safe, effective, efficient and responsive services to all areas of the business and provides asset and maintenance management of buildings, plant and equipment.

Let's talk about the role
- Work with the Quality and Manufacturing teams to ensure the facility and facility services comply with all requirements of ResMed’s Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
- Coordinate all administration aspects of the EMS, organising and leading committee meetings, managing the document system and any changes.
- Coordinate consultants for indoor air quality testing, health & safety, lighting, noise, stack emissions, water and particulate testing.
- Participate as lead audit representative in internal and external audits for EMS and Quality.
- In conjunction with the EMS Team, encourage sustainability efforts across ResMed and the Campus, monitoring progress in GHG emission reduction, reduction in energy use and other sustainability measures. Provide updates and reporting as required.
- Help manage an auditable waste management process. Monitor waste streams, establish, write or improve waste management procedures and strategies. Be innovative in finding means to minimise waste and increase reuse and recycling.
- Monitor all new chemicals coming onto site for environmental impact. Provide environmental approval for all preliminary chemical risk assessments (PCRAs) completed on Campus.
- Participate in the ongoing development of an effective chemical control in the facility.
- Facilitate FM compliance to all aspects of chemical handling, storage, use and disposal requirements. Ensure MSDS are kept up to date.
- Lead and drive development of baselines for utilities consumption to assist with development of EMS reduction targets. Work with the Hard Services team in finding innovative means to minimise electricity, gas and water consumption.
- Develop TCO business cases for sustainability initiatives. Implement and project manage approved initiatives.
- Operate with a high level of autonomy whilst interacting effectively with, and seeking input from team members and other staff across the business.
- Monitor changes in environmental legislation affecting the business and ensures documents and procedures are updated appropriately.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Environmental Management System ISO14001:2015 and Quality Management System Audit experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop, evaluate and implement environmentally focused strategies and programs
- Knowledge of waste, energy and emissions reporting
- Solid research, analysis and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to produce high quality work
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of current sustainability issues, in particular water and energy efficiency, climate change, and emission reduction, would be advantageous.
- Ability to form effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
