Our client, located in Lake Macquarie, is a successful and respected Australian favourite in the motorhome industry. The dealership offers both new and used vehicles in various sizes and caters to every budget. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced and meticulous Quality Control and Warranty Officer to join their team.

About the role

This full-time permanent position is responsible for ensuring that completed motorhomes have undergone all the necessary quality checks and inspections.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

- Perform thorough quality control inspections on completed motorhomes according to established guidelines and procedures.
- Identify and document any defects, non-conformities or deviations from specifications during the inspection process.
- Communicate inspection results to the production team, providing clear and constructive feedback on areas that require improvement.
- Collaborate with the production team to implement corrective actions and preventative measures to address quality issues.
- Conduct regular audits of the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards and industry regulations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive quality control documentation, including inspection reports, checklists and records of defects and resolutions.
- Investigate customer warranty claims and determine appropriate actions to resolve issues within the warranty period.
- Coordinate with suppliers or external service providers as needed to facilitate warranty repairs and replacements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the production team regarding the diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices and technological advancements to quality control and warranty management.

About you
- proven experience in quality control or a related role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of motorhome systems, components and assembly processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot defects and deviations from quality standards.
- Proficient in using quality control tools, techniques, and methodologies.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of warranty management processes, including claim investigation, resolution, and coordination with suppliers or service providers.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations governing quality control and warranty management.
