About Your Role
UGLs Manufacturing & Maintenance business are on the search for an experienced
Quality Officer
to join our supportive team, based at our facility in Broadmeadow. The Quality team provides support on a number of rollingstock newbuild, maintenance and component overhaul projects with various customers.
Reporting to the
Quality Manager
, the role will ensure that products and services meet customer expectations through the effective implementation of agreed quality practices and the personal or facilitated ownership, action and maintenance of process requirements.
- Develop applicable functional procedures, work instructions, forms, templates
- Liaise with Production Teams, Engineering Team, Production Support Team on matters that affect the quality efficiency & product output
- Undertake process and product inspections as per agreed review schedules and prepare and publish Inspection Reports, clearly determining describe findings
- Support in the investigation of non-conformances and assist in positive resolution of customer complaints and issues
- Identify "critical to quality" characteristics related to products and services offered and facilitate the development of quality plans for products and services
- Provide reports to Production Delivery Managers and Service Delivery Managers that clearly describe findings.
About You
As the
Quality Officer
, you will have extensive experience in quality function within a manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering environment. Ideally, you will have an engineering or trade background in Fabrication or Mechanical.
- Extensive experience in quality function within a manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering environment.
- Experienced gained in the rail, automotive, military, defence, avionics or any other safety critical environment
- Experienced in developing applicable functional procedures, work instructions, check sheets
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings and Technical Specifications
- Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management System requirements
- Understanding of Non-conformance Management
- Excellent communication skills (oral & written) and influencing skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
