The Role

Hunter Quality Solutions is currently looking for staff to join our team at our client's grain export facility in Carrington NSW in a full time Laboratory Operator position.

The successful applicants will be rostered to work on a shift basis Monday to Friday, this includes day and night shift rotation (4 days/week). Working rostered weekend overtime shifts is a requirement of this position.

The primary roles will be laboratory based grain testing, classification and data entry. Other general duties relating to grain terminal operations will also be conducted when required including receival of grain, sample stand operation, control system use, hygiene auditing and general hygiene/housekeeping. Some of these roles will involve manual handling tasks.

Required skills and experience;

  • Ability to work safely
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including rostered weekend and overnight shifts
  • Adaptable to frequent plan changes
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Proficient with computers including the use of MS Office
  • Drivers' license

Highly regarded skills and experience;

  • Experience working in an industrial environment
  • Grain testing and classification experience
  • Control room operatations experience
  • Authorised Officer for Plant Exports qualification
  • Working at heights and confined space qualifications
  • Experience in a laboratory

All PPE and uniform will be provided to the successful applicants.
