We are currently seeking a **_Quality Manager _**to join the Industrials & Resources East Team. Based in our Bennetts Green facility in Newcastle, and reporting to the HSEQ Manager, this role is responsible for leading the Quality Assurance and Quality Control service to this Line of Business, including supporting subcontractors and suppliers to maintain a high level of quality to the client.

**About the Role**
- Work with the Operations Managers in the development of strategies and processes to ensure that product quality and client satisfaction are maintained
- Implementation of and adherence to Project readiness audits
- Accountable for the implementation, maintenance and review of the Contract Quality Management Plan
- Facilitate development and implementation of Project Quality Plans, ITP's etc
- Provide QA/QC support across all scopes of work and be a focal point to manage all Quality issues
- Oversee weld management and provide metallurgical expertise as well as developing and implementing weld procedures to ensure quality and compliance. Lead welding quality control and enhance pressure welding capabilities
- Lead, motivate and support the QA/QC team in the effectively delivery of the client works ensuring high standards of quality are observed, achieved and expected performance targets are met
- Identify and actively build positive and constructive relationships with key client personnel ensuring their business objectives and expectations are understood and addressed including clear, concise, and timely communication with focused priority on customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with all UGL HSSE policies and procedures as well as any relevant legislative requirements

**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in related discipline or similar studies in Quality management and/or business improvement techniques (preferred)
- ISO Standard 9001 Qualified Lead Auditor (preferred)
- Multi-disciplinary experience in Project and Shutdown, ideally in both shop and field based roles
- A good working knowledge of relevant QA standards
- Significant experience in total quality management roles, including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and document control
- Working knowledge of welding standards and related QC processes
- Highly developed interpersonal, relationship management and conflict resolution skills, supporting your ability to effectively liaise, consult and influence a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels internally and externally
- Methodical and demonstrated ability to work independently, with discretion, to organise and prioritise demands, and handle complex tasks simultaneously, within a fast-paced environment
