The Industrial Development team within EDQ works with key industry partners, government agencies and the community, to facilitate delivery of industrial development projects which maximise economic, social and environmental outcomes. These projects include large multi-year industrial development projects (ranging in size) which generate ongoing employment opportunities, activate further development or create thriving communities through facilitating economic growth. The team manages projects across Queensland and travel is a requirement of the role.The role of Commercial Manager is to utilise best practices in financial management and provide quality financial advice and analysis to EDQ's Industrial Development team, which focuses on encouraging the expansion of business and industry across Queensland, contributing to economic development goals and objectives. In this role, you will support the achievement and enhancement of the business unit's outcomes, through expertise in financial management, project analysis, feasibility studies, professional reporting, and advice to internal and external stakeholders.To succeed in this role, you will possess the experience to: » provide financial support to the Executive Director, focusing on enhancing the business unit's long-term financial strategy, objectives, and initiatives.» identify emerging financial trends, coordinate financial activities and provide strategic financial input across the unit to ensure alignment with objectives and best practices.» contribute to the unit's financial management by offering timely, effective and practical commercial and economic analysis, advice, and solutions, including project specific financial forecasting, budgeting, and support.» promote effective risk management and assist the unit to proactively identify, assess and mitigate against risks to projects and operations.
