The Electrical Safety Office helps to keep people electrically safe at work and home.
We have a vision to prevent death, injury and destruction of property caused by electricity, and we work towards it by monitoring and enforcing compliance with electrical safety laws.
**The ESO has five strategic goals**:
1. Electricity being safely generated, transmitted and distributed
2. Electrical contractors and workers performing electrical work safely and competently
3. Electrical safety integrated in all parts of any business
4. Safe and compliant electrical equipment being supplied to the market
5. The community having strong confidence in the electrical safety regulatory system.
Our services all relate to compliance, enforcement, advice and support. The Electrical Safety Plan for Queensland guides our work.
As a Client Service Officer, you will be frontline administrative support for the inspectorate in the Electrical Safety Office. Be part of a dynamic and fast paced working environment, in a team with a strong supportive culture, empowering you to proactively assist in making positive impacts regarding electrical safety for everyone in Queensland.
**Some of your responsibilities will include**:
- Supporting the administration of ESO's regulatory functions including inspector logistics, Right to Information requests and participating in compliance activities to monitor and educate stakeholders.
- Use, update and monitor relevant databases and files confirming quality and accuracy of data
- Deliver financial, procurement, HR and record keeping services in accordance with legislative, departmental, and organisational policy and guidelines.
- Answer queries and direct calls from internal and external clients in relation to ESO compliance
- Research and analyse information/data to provide advice that contributes to organisational and team goals
- Seek continuous improvement and commit to self-development
- Work collaboratively as an effective, self-directed team member
