**The Opportunity**

BlueScope Building Components is looking for a **Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager**to join the **Manufacturing team**based in **Wangara WA**. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.

**What Will You Do?**

The Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for working closely with the Commercial Manager and Operations stakeholders to identify and implement initiatives that enhance manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and overall operational effectiveness. This role is critical in driving operational excellence and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality products while reducing waste, inefficiencies, reworks, and defects. The role also directly supports compliance to standards and internal quality benchmarks.

**Additionally, to achieve this you will**:

- Identify, develop, and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and equipment performance
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement on the shop floor by embedding lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving methodologies
- Minimise defects, reworks, scrap rates, tooling wear, and process variation while ensuring all products meet engineered specifications
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventative action programs to address quality issues and operational losses
- Manage operational performance reporting, including OEE, defect rates, waste, downtime, and quality metrics

**More About You**

With your extensive Quality and Continuous Improvement experience you will Identify, develop, and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and equipment performance. This will Be achieved by:

- Developing, optimising, and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all production processes
- Identifying process inefficiencies, setup and changeover delays, and waste drivers in production processes including the Roll Forming line
- Implement best-practice process controls to maintain tight tolerances and consistent, high-quality output
- Foster a culture of problem solving, data-driven decision making, and operational discipline across production teams
- Lead structured root cause analysis (RCA) investigations into quality defects, product inconsistencies, and process losses
