**The Opportunity**

BlueScope Building Components is looking for a **State Manager WA** to join the team based in **Wangara WA**. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.

Reporting to the General Manager of BBC, you will play a pivotal role within our leadership team. Your mission is to champion our purpose, lead high-performing teams, and consistently deliver excellence in health and safety, commercial performance, and customer satisfaction.

You will be joining a successful, future-focused business with the opportunity to lead across multiple disciplines, including Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain. This role will provide a broad scope of experience, positioning you for significant career growth opportunities within the company.

**More About You**

In this dynamic P&L leadership role, you will lead a team of 9 direct reports, and a broader team of 160 people. Your key focus will be on achieving critical business goals, including safety, market growth, operational excellence, and innovation, while ensuring an outstanding customer experience.

You will:

- provide strategic leadership: develop and execute the state business plan, with an emphasis on exceeding targets for safety, quality, market growth, and profitability.
- focus on safety & operational excellence: ensure the highest standards of health and safety while maintaining compliance with legislation and company policies.
- support team development: lead, coach, and motivate your team, fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture to drive engagement and capability.
- set business objectives & standards: establish clear performance goals and standards, ensuring consistent monitoring and communication with your team.
- lead innovation and change: collaborate with internal teams and customers to drive innovation in products and services, ensuring seamless integration of new technologies and processes.
