**The core capability requirements for this role are**:

- Develop, research and analyse the professional capability and leadership development needs of the organisation, to develop progression and succession planning programs and learning items to support the development of engaged and productive volunteers and staff.
- Design, develop, evaluate and review recruitment, development and retention tools and resources including recruitment guides and resources, development learning items, resources and marketing initiatives to ensure programs and experiences meet organisational requirements.
- Implement and manage volunteer and staff recognition and reward initiatives that foster positive work culture and retention, including coordination nominations for recognition from volunteers and staff in accordance with timeframes and approval protocols.
- Draft citations and award submissions, and assist in the preparation and review of reports, briefing notes, submissions and other correspondence relating to program initiatives, in accordance with internal governance requirements.
- Research, analyse and report on information relevant to allocated projects, and maintain governance and controls for the effective administration of activities in line with required work program.
- Provide program and administrative support in the development and review of policy, frameworks and initiatives, and any associated tasks to ensure quality outcomes are delivered.
- Liaise and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to further progress work and activities being undertaken within the Recruitment, Development, and Retention unit.
- Promote and support a teamwork approach, the achievement of outcomes and ensure the effective delivery of services in an efficient and timely manner.

**Role Requirements**:Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience**:

- Knowledge, experience and/or qualification in contemporary HR management or learning and development and best practice.
- An appreciate of undertaking a HR function within a volunteer organization, or the ability to quickly develop this appreciation will be well received by the selection committee.

**Other**:

- The incumbent may occasionally be required to travel to locations throughout Queensland.
