Key Areas of Responsibility:

- Ensure ESMS compliance with relevant statutory regulations and current ‘best practice’
- Actively engage with internal customers on electrical safety culture to achieve zero harm
- Lead the Electrical Safety Working Group and encourage knowledge sharing
- Support engagement with external regulatory bodies and network service providers
- Develop programs to build electrical safety capability to EDL employees and contractors
- Act as a delegate to the Electrical Safety Authority
- Provide advice and support to electrical design, installations, operations, and maintenance
- Actively ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of others through understanding and implementing workplace health and safety obligations
- Lead event investigations and facilitate ICAM & Root Cause Analysis for notifiable events
- Support and comply with Company policies and procedures as advised and documented in the Company’s employment policies.- In addition to the duties set out above, the Optimisation Delivery Manager may be expected to perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company

Person Specification:

- Ability to lead cross-functional safety initiatives and working groups
- Comfortable engaging with all levels of the organisation including senior leaders, site operators, regulators, and external stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to translate technical safety concepts into practical actions.
- Capable of delivering impactful training and safety awareness programs.
- Skilled in conflict resolution and stakeholder management
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex safety risks and develop effective controls.
- Proactive in identifying emerging safety issues and implementing preventative strategies- Interest in and ability to continue personal leadership and technical growth

Qualifications and Experience:

- Relevant engineering-based qualification (trade, diploma, degree considered)
- Experience in the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of safety management systems
- Understanding of electric safety legislation, standards and codes of practice across Australia, North America and the United Kingdom
- Strong knowledge of safety best practise in the generation industry or like industry
- Expertise in leading incident investigations and audit processes
