**About Us**:
Empact News is here to disrupt the digital media landscape in Australia. Empact News was created when two best friends decided they were not getting the news they wanted or needed. Traditional media was no longer enough, and they became fatigued and frustrated by the same boring ways in which news was told.

Empact News is mission-driven. We care deeply about the issues that concern young people. We want to give a microphone to people who have not been able to speak and shine a light on stories that need to be heard.

We are advocates for women, animals, people of colour (POC), and the queer community. We want to make stories that not only resonate with our audience but also _spark change_. We want to create new ways to tell stories to a digital audience, as this is the future of journalism. In other words, we don’t get our news from the TV or a newspaper. We live where you live, on your phone.
