**What’s the role?**

Reporting to the national social media manager, you will:

- Stay abreast of news and current affairs
- Engage local communities and drive new audiences
- Produce compelling content for our masthead platforms
- Work in newsrooms to upskill journalists
- Monitor analytics to identify areas of opportunity
- Assist the national social media editor in strategy development across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other platforms
- Contribute to strategy to engage, inform, inspire and entertain our communities
- Contribute to a positive discussion about digital storytelling
- Variety of work where no two days are the same

**Who are you?**

To be successful, you will have:

- An understanding of various social media platforms and their features including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn + TikTok and how to adapt content to suit each platform
- An interest in news
- A stickler for detail with excellent spelling and grammar
- A natural curiosity that drives you to discover the stories that will make an impact
- Ability to produce content in line with brand style and tone
- Confidence challenging the norm and generating new ideas
- Eye for design and knowledge of graphic design principles preferred
- Experience using Canva preferred

You will also be:

- A self-starter and a team player
- A good communicator
- Comfortable working in and contributing to an evolving environment
