**Position Information**:
Wattle Grove Public School is a dynamic school located in south-west Sydney. The school is part of the Chipping Norton Principal Network. The school serves approximately 430 students, with 19% from Australian Defence Force families, 25% having an EAL/D background and 25 students identifying as Aboriginal.
The school employs a Defence School Mentor to support ADF families and has a robust learning and support system to nurture student growth. B. Capacity to lead the implementation of the department’s High Potential and Gifted Education Policy for all teachers and all students.
C. High-level knowledge of strategies to support students from diverse backgrounds and with additional needs to positively impact on learning and wellbeing.
D. Expertise in enhancing staff capacity to effectively teach literacy and numeracy.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education.
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs.
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community.
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning.
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning.
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
