**Position Information**:
Ermington Public School is situated on the land of the Wallumedegal people in West Ryde, within the Ryde Principal Network, and has an enrolment of approximately 465 students, with two opportunity classes. The school consists of a diverse student population which includes 71% of students from a language background other than English, a small number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
Ermington Public School is staffed by teachers who pride themselves on the ability to utilise current research, and evidence-based practice to form the basis of teaching and learning programs. The staff are committed to strategic improvement and continual monitoring through strategic timelines.
Ermington Public School prides itself on ensuring all students are provided with a high-quality education through the implementation of evidence-based practices, strong wellbeing programs and effective literacy and numeracy programs. 1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
