About the Role

This is an integral role within the organisation which supports the Bapcor Data and BI Project team to implement a modern cloud platform using Microsoft Azure services. Work closely with the project team to unlock opportunities for deeper data exploration, self service BI and advance data and analytics across the organisation

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Support the Head of Data & BI and the Azure Data Lake project team with technical expertise within the area of data analytics.
- Be a trusted advisor to the business, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders and explaining complex technical data concepts in easy-to-understand ways.
- Identify opportunities within Bapcor’s evolving cloud data platform where analytics can help to address a business issue and determine which analytics approaches will deliver the best solution for the business.
- Provide guidance on approaches, techniques, and opportunities to expand the businesses data capabilities and coaching and developing the skills of the broader team.
- Provide feedback to the Data & BI team to ensure appropriate tools and infrastructure are in place to support ongoing development of Bapcor’s data capability.
- Provide technical thought leadership and guide technical discussions / ideation and data science best practices.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their business problems and objectives and design data modelling processes, create algorithms, and build models to address.
- Create and support communities of data science practice by working closely with business and IT stakeholders in the implementation of the Bapcor Azure Data Platform.

About you
- Proven experience in developing and delivering data visualisation products and reports, representing complex analytics and insights to meet business requirements.
- You must have significant and recent experience working in Azure Cloud Technologies that support analytics within an Azure Data Lake environment (ADF, Synapse, Databricks) and Power BI.
- You will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with ability to present complex concepts and clearly influence, consult and engage with internal stakeholders across the business.
- You will be genuinely interested and passionate about data, staying connected to new and evolving data trends and technology through external sources, conferences/seminars and general community engagement.
- Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Data Analysis, Software Engineering or relevant IT discipline is required.
