About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced ICT Business Analyst to join our dynamic team at BSS INSIGHT PTY LTD' in Mount Waverley, VIC 3149. In this role, you will play a key part in analysing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting strategic initiatives that drive organisational growth and operational efficiency.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements, conduct market and data analysis, and deliver actionable insights that inform business decisions and enhance customer experience. Your work will help shape the direction of projects and ensure alignment with core business objectives.

Your Responsibilities of the role:

  • Collaborate with users and stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements.
  • Analyse current business processes, procedures, and work practices to identify areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate inefficiencies and recommend optimized business practices and system functionalities.
  • Deploy functional solutions by developing and implementing system test plans to ensure quality and system integrity.
  • Use data and process modelling techniques to create clear system specifications.
  • Apply project management methodologies to manage business improvement projects.
  • Prepare user manuals, training documentation, and deliver formal training sessions to end users.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for use by development teams.
  • Use data visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau to create reports and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making.
  • Utilise Confluence for collaboration and project documentation.
  • Serve as a central reference point for project information, providing guidance throughout the decision-making process.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum Bachelor's /Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analyst or related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Proven experience as an ICT Business Analyst or similar role with a Strong understanding of business process analysis and improvement.
  • Experience with programming languages like Python or R is desirable.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall)
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation and deliver effective training
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or SQL is an advantage.
  • At least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Minimum 1 year experience working on system design and development.
  • Excellent communication skills
