APG is currently seeking an experienced Genealogical Researcher for a Part Time 3 Month Assignment within a Parramatta Government Sector.

- **Hours: 7 per day / 14 per week - Thursday & Friday - 9am to 5pm in office**

The Genealogical Researcher/Client Service Officer is part of a Client Service team collectively responsible for the provision of genealogical research to deliver professional and timely services to determine entitlement in intestate estates in accordance with the laws of New South Wales with research extending beyond NSW and within Australia. The role is responsible to deliver quality and timely series which are efficient and provide value for customer.

The role personally administers a caseload of approximately 70 to 80 Deceased Estates where genealogical research is required within Australia to determine next of kin and maintains regular, professional and empathetic communication with clients and beneficiaries. A Client Service Officer requires competent financial literacy and is responsible for conducting genealogical research within Australia, paying claims, preparing distributions, and issuing closing statements of receipts and disbursements.

In addition to the key capabilities, the Client Service Officer will ideally possess initiative and problem-solving skills, demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise work and meet deadlines, and have excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
