**Research and Policy Support Officer**
- 6 month contract with likely extension
- $400 - $450 per day + super
- Parramatta location/Hybrid working model
- Full time, Monday to Friday

This large Government organisation within the Education sector is seeking a Research and Policy Support Officer to assist the team in a fast-paced working environment. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and is highly adaptable with previous experience working within the Government highly beneficial.

**The Role**:

- Assist in undertaking research and data to communicate to senior officers of the Department contemporary developments in all aspects of early childhood, schools and education
- Preparation of briefings, correspondence, speeches and other papers using word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint and other software for senior officers, the Secretary and the Ministers
- Use technology to analyse data from multiple sources and prepare clear and concise reports in relation to the interpretation of the data
- Build excellent relationships and work collaboratively with staff across the Directorate and in other parts of the Department to ensure that projects are developed effectively and on time

**Skills/Experience**:

- A collaborative working approach
- Ability to make decisions and take initiative
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office, Teams and TRIM
- Experience in a policy or research environment
- Previous Government experience is highly beneficial
