As an Assistant Departmental Liaison Officer, you will support the Departmental Liaison Officer in facilitating the effective exchange of information and advice between the Deputy Premier's Office, the department and other government agencies.

**Your responsibilities will include**: - Utilise expert knowledge of a record management system to research, analyse, retrieve and track electronic documents and assist with any follow up actions in response to situations requiring a rapid turnaround of information. Act as a reference point and provide an efficient and effective administrative linkage between DSDILGP and the Deputy Premier's office to ensure the provision and flow of authoritative, timely and professional advice. Utilise strong negotiation and liaison skills to obtain information within set timelines. Assist in the resolution of complex enquiries including confidential and sensitive issues and be proactive in redirecting enquiries to appropriate officers within the department and across government agencies. Support the coordination and review of written and verbal advice to staff in the Deputy Premier's office in relation to portfolio matters, consistent with government policy and departmental objectives and procedures. Provide logístical support including but not limited to arranging meetings between ministerial staff and departmental executives or external stakeholders. Develop and monitor efficient and effective systems between DSDILGP and the Deputy Premier's office to ensure effective liaison while establishing and maintaining an effective network of officers both within DSDILGP and across government. Provide support to the Departmental Liaison Officer position when required.Applications to remain current for 12 months.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
