We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Customer Service Representative to join a local city council. The position will involve providing high level customer support predominantly via phone but with some in person, responding to any council related enquiries. A passion for positively contributing to the local community by building relationships through meaningful conversation is required for this role.

**Start**:ASAP

**Hours**: 8.30am - 5pm (Mon-Fri)

**The Role**

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

- Be the main point of contact to successfully resolve/address any council related enquiries or complaints
- Liaise regularly with internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to build rapport and de-escalate challenging situations
- Able to show initiative, working autonomously within a small team
- Some administration duties as required

**Experience Required**
- Experience in a similar role customer service (essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication with demonstrated ability to successfully resolve conflict and nurture customer relationships
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise workload and problem solve
- Ability to fully utilise Microsoft Office software packages
- Qualifications in customer service or business administration (preferred)
