**OUR CLIENT **is an independent, innovative and progressive medical practice located in Newcastle, NSW. With a client centric approach, they treat each individual client wholistically and provide a wide range of tailor fit medical solutions and services, including surgical.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
This role is currently open as a permanent, part-time appointment, 2-3 days per week to support the financial function within the business while reporting to the Practice Manager.

Main responsibilities of this role include:

- Processing Accounts Payable and Receivable in the accounting software
- Administer a supplier list, PO, invoicing, follow-up on unpaid invoices, and approval/delegation process
- Manage bank reconciliations
- Perform data entry, required administration, receipt and statements allocation, and support data collation for reporting and taxes
- Preparation of payroll-related inputs and support the payroll process in cooperation with an external agent
- Proactively respond and cooperate on any accounts-related queries including resolving discrepancies, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
- Efficiently communicate with various internal and external stakeholders
- Support the evidence of company assets as required

**ABOUT YOU**
- Previous experience with medical financial and surgical billing, Medicare and health funds is highly required
- Relevant accounting or business administration qualification is desirable
- Experience with AP and AR processing with supporting payroll function
- Ability to cooperate within a small but busy team environment
- Ability to take initiative and demonstrate high level of focus on detail
- Efficient deadline management and strong organisation skills
- Previous experience using MYOB or Xero, and MS Office Suite
- Positive problem solving attitude
