Since our founding in 2018, we have served over 9.5 million meals and raised over $8.5M in capital from best-in-class venture funds and pet industry insiders to continue our mission to help pets live their best life.
We’re looking for an exceptional Partnerships Lead to join our team as we enter our scale-up phase.
**About Lyka**
Lyka was built on the belief that all puppers should live their best life. We deliver human-grade meals on a subscription to dogs all over Australia. We produce all of our food in our human-grade kitchen in Sydney.
Our company began when our founder Anna went on a journey to improve her dog Lyka’s health. Anna started creating a homemade diet for Lyka. In just a few weeks, Lyka had more energy, less tooth decay, and a healthier coat.
Since then, Team Lyka has grown to a team of driven and like-minded dog-lovers with a single shared goal: to serve our customers and their pupper with the best possible care on the planet. From improving digestive issues in puppers to bringing back the youthful energy in seniors - we’re getting closer to our mission, every day.
**The Opportunity**
Lyka is growing quickly, and no two weeks are the same. This is a pivotal role for Lyka in helping us scale, and you will be developing our partnership programs in existing & new verticals and executing on their go-to-market strategy.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop the economic model, and business plan for our breeders & vets partnership programs, as well as other existing & future verticals
- Define the growth strategy and execution at all stages of the business model
- Drive the commercial launch and go-to-market strategy
- Be the voice of our partners and identify business development opportunities where Lyka could play a role to help our partners grow
- Lead the design of the scaled operating model as the channels grow
- Responsible for leading the partnership experience ie. Leading the drive to build platforms that integrate with our partners
- Establish protocols and processes for partnership engagement to help ensure Lyka’s interactions are aligned and coordinated
- Continuedly monitor and review the market landscape to recommend and develop new creative approaches to ensure Lyka’s can grow the partnership channel
- Responsible to drive, measure and track our partnership KPI’s and targets
- Working closely with internal teams including Engineering, Customer Care, Strategy & Analytics Growth, Marketing and Creative to ensure our communications are aligned with our brand
- Support, coach and mentor partnership coordinators, to cultivate and maintain on-going relationship with partners
**Requirements**:
- 5+ years experience in growing new ventures and verticals or strategic partnerships
- Have experience managing commercial agreements with a range of partners large or small
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements
- Demonstrated ability to explain technical terms to non-technical people
- An incredible attention to detail and consistency
- Natural problem solver and thrives on creative solutions to business challenges
- Positive, can-do attitude and accountable for delivering content outcomes
- Comfortable ambiguity and changing priorities as the business evolves. Our growth means there are constantly new things to work on every day. As such it’s likely that you’ll often be working across the board on new and exciting projects
- Passionate with nutrition and wellness - (including yourself and pets)
